2012 Volvo S60 T5 Fuel Filter Location Help!
Hi everyone. I need help! I sent 2 hours and cannot find this filter. I bought a fuel filter for replacement but I can't find the one on the car. I called the Volvo dealer gave them my vin and they said yes there is a filter. They told me near the fuel filler neck. I have pulled off the undercarriage panels and right wheel fender. I still cannot find this filter. The tank is plastic.
Car is running rough with 71,000 miles. I want to change this to see if it helps. I have looked on youtube but everything there is either older or diesel.
My car was bought in the US. Drivers side is on the left. Gas powered.
If you can tell me where to look great. If you have pics that would be really cool. Thanks

correct, not all models have an inline filter so you may want to double check with another Volvo resource.. As to maintenance, you can also google for the Volvo maintenance intervals to see when and if the factory even calls out for a filter change. Running rough can be caused by quite a few things - start by scanning for codes. Then consider checking for intake air leaks / cracked tubing, pull the plugs to see if any are fouled, check to see if the intake looks clean and consider using MAF cleaner on the intake.
On the how to change the filter, here's a vid link from FCP Euro (it may help tell you where it is:

Volvo 2012 S60 T6 fuel filter
After a lot of searching I found this,
It looks like there is just a plastic strainer at the bottom of the pump, but must be good enough to do the job.
One could install an inline filter, but would require checking fuel pressure before and after, probably not worth the trouble as obviously what is there works.
Maybe there is a filter gauze above the plastic strainer.
I am not going to pull it out, just to find out.
