My aunt bought a new car last year and gave me her '94 960. She said the only problem she's had with it was having put some "cheap" gas in it a few months prior, after which the car would not start. She took it to the shop but failed to tell me what they diagnosed.

In any event, I had two problems with the car last summer not wanting to start and once started having a great loss of power (only going 10 MPH) with a lot of sputtering and stalling. Refueling the car corrected the problem both times. It ran fine for several months until this week when it started doing the same thing, at one point not pulling at all when the gas pedal was pressed.

I'm thinking I may need to start by replacing the fuel filter, as that seems pretty easy and inexpensive. Can someone tell me where the filter is located on this car? I did a Google search and found a page showing it located underneath the car near the passenger side wheel. I looked there but didn't see it. Am I missing something?
