Exclamation '99 s40 and 2000 s40, Tie rod end compatibility

Hello guys,

I have a '99 s40 and I need to change the tie rod end of both wheels. I was searching on several pages and i found them but the pages say that are for 2000 S40.
My question is: can I use de 2000 s40 tie rod ends? I'll apreciate any guidance in this. Thanks a lot for taking the time to read this.

Bless.

Default Wait for Tech or ask these vendors

I can only assume that they are compatible but I would contact the following vendors and ask for the compatibility:

FCP Groton
http://www.fcpgroton.com/info-exec/display/contact_us

eEuroparts
http://www.eeuroparts.com/Main/ContactUs.aspx

IPD
http://www.ipdusa.com/contact.asp?

Asking is free.

I hope it goes well.

When Tech comes home he could give you the exact answer you need.

Yes Tech is the top moderator here. Tech has years of experience working on Volvo and is THE man for Volvo. Tech knows Volvos inside & out and I do not know of anyone that even comes close to Tech's skills, expertise & the right personality. The majority of members here would agree on this.

Anyway, Tech would be able to tell you if the 2000 model's tie-rod end is compatible with the 1999 model. Since the vendors do not have any 1999 rod end, I myself assume the 2000 would match. You could perhaps take some close-up pics and go to the dealer and let them show you the parts for 2000 model for comparison.
