99 v70 stalling out

I have a 99 V70 wagon that I am having problem with the car stalling while driving. It has become very unsafe for my wife and kids. I sent it in for the recall thinking it was that, Volvo dealer did the upgrade and it still happened. We just sent it in to be looked at again thinking that it was the throttle system. I noticed when you start it can sometimes have a rough start and can notice a little dim in the interior lighting. The recent evluation from Volvo dealer is that the car needs a new cable spliced in from the cable getting so hot to the battery and is causing a loss of power, said that it was corroding, cost around $360.00 for the repair. Still may not fix the problem, however they had mentioned that they had a customer car in 4 months prior with the same symptom and the repair fixed it. I have replaced the battery about 4 years ago, could it just be the battery. This has been very frustrating and I dont want to over pay on a repair. Any help with this would be awesome, seeking other experiences like this or thoughts. Thanks!

Hopefully the main guy on this board, tech, will come on this evening and have some advice. I have no idea what to tell you other than wait and see what tech says.

RE: 99 v70 stalling out

We install solder on terminals at the battery.
If they are saying it is the terminal corroded see if they install the solder terminals.
