Airconditioning issue xc70 +2010
Hi Volvo people:
My engine light came on on the highway after driving over an hour with a donut ( got stuck in London, Ontario with a flat and had to make it back to Toronto) I went to a regular (non-volvo ) mechanic who on reading the codes said it was the catalyst converter. He found a broken manifest bolt and they replaced it but his guy almost started taking of the converter but the owner claims he stopped him. The engine light did not go back on after being reset dbut within a day or so my air conditioner stopped cooling. the fan is working but not cool air. Wondering if they could have touched something while checking the converter? Any ideas are welcome.
Thanks

Do you hear or feel the AC compressor kick on? Usually that's caused by low system pressure but given there's an electric clutch, I supposed its always possible a connector was nicked or a fuse or relay blew. I'd start by looking at the fuses and relays that are related to the AC compressor. Next is to have the AC system checked.

Thanks a lot for responding. Yes I do hear the compressor come on. If anyone can recommend a reliable volvo guy to check the fuses and relays in the GTA I would appreciate it. My daughter went to the fuses but she said the air conditioner fuse was underneath and she was afraid to mess with getting to it. Any honest AC specialist recommendation would be very helpful. Two other family members had ac problems this summer and after seeing the AC guys had more headaches and no resutls.
