s40 vs. s60

from a performance perspective, which do you prefer?

Well I have an S60 NA. The engines are the same in each car so you get a little bit less weight with the S40, but you get a little bit better handling with the S60 because of the longer wheelbase. I would go with the S60 for the larger interior/trunk, etc.
