Budget Volvo
 

I'm planning on buying another car around late spring, and would love to get a volvo. i know the older S70 T5's are nice, but very rare up here in ohio it seems. I was wondering if you guys could give me some more ideas as far models go? there are actuallythree S70 AWD's around, i know they make less power out of the box but can they also be fast potentially? Also, im having a hard time finding performance parts for them. Thanks for all the help guys! oh yeah, im thinking the car should be 10 grand or less

2. Try to find a 98 s70 Turbo model. Turbo or T5. Go out of state if you have to.

3. 99 s70 awds suck IMO. Yes I know because I own one. They have the ETM and are toruble. And are not worth the aggrivation. They can be potentially faster then they already are yes.

4. Or try to find a V70 turbo model. Turbo, T5 or R. Or go for an 850 Turbo model, Turbo, T5R. R.

5. As far as performance parts where are you looking? I mean I made a huge thread about WEBSITE LINKS and it is posted in every forum on this forum. It is in the PINNED threads at the top of each forum. If you haven't looked there look there now.

P.S. Nothing for Volvo is cheap. That goes for items coming from the dealership and items coming from aftermarket websites.

What is your budget anyways? What is your Hp goal?

sorry about overlooking the pinned thread, i usually dont. what i want to do is just get the car itself cheap, then ill build it up over time. im not looking for anything crazy, so overall horespower will depend on the car. after lookign on a site called euortuning or osmethgin like that (based out of canada) it seems pretty easy to get the s70 T5 around and over 300hp. ill pick a horsepower goal depending on the car, i want a nice little sleeper and these seem perfect for that.

thanks for all of the models, ill definetly check them out. no one i know can really help me with this. Lots of people with fast cars, but dont know a thing about these haha

** oh i checked out you mods list link, very nice car. i see you have an auto trans. too so i take it they can take some added power? i was kind of worried about that since all i've been finding are autos, but i dont think ill be building anything crazy, like i said.

Yes they can take some added power. 250-300 Hp at the most they can take on stock internals and trans.
