Chain or belt
I have a 2017 XC60 2.0l turbo T5 AWD. I’m getting mixed results on the internet whether my car has a timing chain or belt. Can someone give me a definitive answer? Thanks in advance.
T5s have a timing belt. The T6s have a chain. Best thing to do is to check the 2017 Volvo Maintenance manual for this kind of stuff. https://volvo.custhelp.com/app/manua...017/model/XC60
Spoiler: Per the manual, the A2/A0/10/26/40/49 4 cylinder engines get the timing belt, tensioner and idler pulley replaced at 150K miles / 10 years whichever comes first.

WhenI bought the car in 2019, I had a Volvo mechanic and sales people tell me
it had a chain. Just recently I got curious and checked the web.
I have 120,00 miles on it and will soon have the belt replaced.
