Angry Cursed sparkplug cover

My dad bought me sparkplug wires to replace the 11 yr. old ones already on my S70 GLT for my birthday. So this morning I decided to go ahead and replace them finally. Well, the head of the first screw I tried to take out snapped off...leaving the threaded part still inside. The next screw's head is stripped. The next screw was awfully easy to get loose, and then it wouldn't tighten completely when I tried to put it back in. I think my Friday the 13th came late...

I would use PB Blaster next time for rusty fasteners.

Broken portion remained: Use Easy-out or similar tool. Easy-out does not seem to have good reputation but there are other alternative products.

Stripped screw: use a centre punch & hammer it on the screw CCW. Or, remove all the rest of the screws first and try turning the cover to see if it loosens it. Or, buy a cheap tool, JB Weld it on the screw and remove it altogether.

Screw not tightening: You may have to try one size larger screw or re-thread the female thread with tap & dies or similar tool.

Wait for other members' replies as well.

Awesome...thanks guys.

JPN-they weren't rusty though...but I looked in the hole after the head snapped off and it looked like there was liquid in there...
