My 2013 s60 got t-boned this week when a driver ran a blinking red light doing 40 mph without even touching his brakes. Waiting on insurance decisions, but if the car is a total loss I am going to replace it with another s60 since, well, I believe it saved me from injury in a really major crash.
Question is to Drive-E or not Drive-E? That is the question.
My present (disabled) car is AWD. The trade-off (on windy roads in the Adirondacks) would be FWD with aggressive studded tires.
Driving a hybrid rental now and appreciate the mileage difference.
Any thoughts???

 

To add here... any drivers of the Drive-E care to share your experiences?
My single hesitation is that several dealers here have cars that have carfax warnings regarding "lemons" that were returned due to their need of significant repair. Gives me pause, and that's why I'd love to hear from Drive-e owners.

Got the drive-e. Totally love it so far. Beautiful car. Really appreciate the updates from the 2013. Handles well (a bit less oomph when on eco, no surprise). Mileage so far about 32/33 so just 3 mph more than the AWD and not close to the EPA rating, but I plan to put super in for a tank or two to clean her pipes and see if that changes anything.
