frustrating 850
Hey, everyone. Just got a 1994 850 non-turbo. My son bought it, with a used engine to be installed. I put on a new timing belt and water pump, installed the engine, (had to change the intake, the one on the engine was different from the engine that was originally in the car). I was very careful to align timing marks, connect all wiring, grounds, and vacuum hoses. The car tries to start, but misses and dies, will occasionally rev to about 1500 rpm. I have checked compression, (160 to 170 all cylinders), checked firing order, checked for codes,
checked fuel pressure, (41 psi), cleaned and checked connections, installed a new fuel filter, installed new plugs. I'm out of ideas! Please help! Thanks! |
I really don't have a clue but check the crank and cam sensor. Also check the ignition coil.

Relief!
Thanks, it was the coil.
