Default Helpful Advice Needed!

Well me and my wife are out looking for a new car for her and stumbled across a 98 s70 with 115,000 on it one owner car. Seems like a good deal the car is clean and looks to be well taken care of. Was wondering what I should look for when I take it for a drive and what are some concerns I should be aware of with a car with that many miles. Car will used mainly for highway purposes driving back and forth across Indiana. Also what do you guys average on the highway MPG wise? Thanks in advance for any help and or advice!

Joe

First thing to look at - RECORDS! One owner should have them. Make sure that everything is up to date (timing belt, water pump, turbo hoses) regular oil changes. 98's are prone tp computer problems related to the difficulty in resetting the "Check Engine Light". Sounds silly, it's a real PITA however. Check every vacuum line or just plan on replacing them all.

S70's are popular and theres a reason why - they are great little cars! But not trouble free. mi
