HIGH oil pressure. 2001 Volvo s60 2.4T

My car has a high oil pressure problem, as my mechanic and I believe. And, I appreciate if anyone here could help me solve the problem.
So, here is the story. The cam shaft seal broke and it leaks large amounts of oil. My mechanic tested the oil pressure on the car and it was at about 60 psi while idling while the engine is cold and above 80psi if you rev up the engine. When the engine heat up the pressure was 35psi and about 60/70psi when we increase the rpms to about 4k. We flushed the engine with conventional oil and a solution, but the psi only dropped by minimal numbers. I had a 5-30W synthetic Mobil 1 plus a Lukas synthetic oil treatment in the car when the problem began to occur, and the car has 153k miles.

My mechanic believes it is the pressure valve that might be located in the fuel pump. What do you guys think it might be the problem? I know there are oil pressure release valves on other brand cars, but can't seem to find one for a volvo s60. Is it in the oil pump?
I would appreciate any tips,

Sincerely,
Nick

I am having the same issues. There is no relief valve on the oil pump that I could find (trust me I looked for it as i have had it out 4 times now due to blown crankshaft seal). There is definitely something plugged in your crankcase PCV system. Dont forget the turbo system also.
