Hi. I have a 2000 S80 twin turbo that keeps throwing a check engine light. I bought it used a year ago and the dealer said that it needed band 2 oxygen sensors 1 and 2. I replaced those and the light came back on. The first time it was a P0442. I cleared that and drove 70 miles and it came back with a P1152. I changed the gas cap.cleared the codes and drove it some more. I have a snap-on scanner that said when I do the systems checks that evap, catalyst and 02 aren't ready. I brought it to a mechanic who said to change the other 02s. So I did that. drove the car for 10 miles and P0442 came back. I cleared it and drove the car for 60 miles and P1152 came back. The scanner now says that just the 02 and catalyst tests are not ready. I need to get at least one of them ready, in order for the vehicle to pass the state inspection. Any advice on what can be wrong with the car?

 

i would get a proper scanner to scan the car (VIDA) first instead of throughing money into the car. Most of the time the aftermarket scanner don't do a good job on diagnosis
