s60 r
So am looking to get this Dark metallic Grey 2006 s60 r with the 18" rims. It has 49,000 miles, and everything seems to be mechanically fit. I think I can get this car for 16-17k, but a few small isssues. It had a clock spring replaced and a power steering tank. Also on the car facts report it had "left front impact with a pedestrian", so I dont think that is anything to worry about.
One interesting note, is that if I hit the "S" button below the shifter, and put it into advanced chasis setting, and drop it in to tip tronic mode... I by accidentally revved the car to 7500rpms- and this shocked me as I thought ther was a rev limiter to these cars.it just wanted to keep going. Could it possibly be that it has some sort of tuning in it that i cannot pick up? or is the rev thing normal? It has new brakes and rotors all around. Any other advice would be appreciated! thanks |
the "S" button is triggered by the Advance mode, so you dont need to hit the s button before hand.
I dont remember the redline on the R, but It has never been driven passed 7000rpms. The transmission is annoying. it clunks sometimes and is not as smooth as the AW71 in the 740. if you can find a stick version, recommended you go that route. how are the maintenance reports? |
doesnt tell them, but I assume they are well, because the 'badging' of the R has been modiefied, s60 and the front R badge are gone. An enthusiast like that I assume would follow through with all the maintaince.

An enthusiast is also more likely to have raced it at some point in its life as well. $00.02. |
