Sun Visor replacement

1 Attachment(s)
Hi all,

New owner here 2015 V60 T5 (love it) and am looking for help. Does anyone have instructions to remove and replace the driver sun visor? I did not get the option package that included homelink but can buy the homelink visor alone for 235.00.

Thanks!

Here is a pick of my new surf mobile!

Dont buy a new one for $235, the salvage yards are full of them and many Volvo trim parts are interchangeable. Go to Car-Parts.com and plug in your info, search for visor with homelink. Should be able to get one certainly under $99.
To install, remove the plastic tabs covering the two screws that mount the visor to the roof. Remove the 2 screws (one is torch and the other hex-head), pull the wire out until you see the connector, unplug it then reverse the process to install.
Should only take 10-15 minutes. Program the homelink - thats easy too, youtube has instructions but its basically simultaneously hold the homelink button and a hand-held remote for 5 seconds, done!

Hey, I did this but the plug In my s40 isn’t right for the homelink visor I grabbed at the junk yard. Is this fixable? Can I update or change the plug to allow the homelink visor to work in my non homelink version?

My driver side visor had power as there is was a mirror with light built in, it did not have Homelink. I purchased a visor with Homelink from an online junk yard and simply unplugged the old, plugged in the new and the Homelink worked fine. No other changes were necessary.
Hope this helps.

How to remove tabs

I know this is an old thread, but I’m trying to replace one of the sun visors on my 2015 XC70…how can I remove the plastic tabs covering the two screws that mount the visor to the roof?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Insert a skinny flathead screwdriver in the crease, and the covers will pop out.
