Volvo 220 fuel pump recall.
Dear service cutomers/volvo owners. If you are bringing your car in for this recall, for the love of God, please dont bring it with a full fuel tank. Not only does it take awhile to suck it all out, it also flows out of the tank when the sending unit on the driver side is opened up. You will lose a few gallons and just irritate the tech. Our service advisors tell customers to come in with less than a 1/4 tank yet they fill up down the street and then roll into the service drive to drop it off. Dont be one of the customers we curse about in the shop. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Your local Volvo dealer tech

I can sympathize, but do you think any of the affected customers might read this?
Better idea to put this message in the letter Volvo sends the customers about the recall. Also tell your Service Manager/Writers to remind folks when they schedule.
Again i can relate; R&R gas tanks was always one of my least favorite jobs. So do those lost gallons find their way to your tank? You could call it a Full-Tank-Gas-Tax
