would you buy '94 850?

Ok, so I'm looking to replace my 91 240 with 250k(yes odometer still works) and came upon a pictureless Craigslist ad in my area(WI) for a 94 850, the seller indicates in the ad that its not running due to an oil leak, and the odometer stopped working at 165k. You know Craiglist....reply via email....so I haven't gotten a responce yet, however, I want to know more about frequent problems with this car? I would assume that any oil leak may be due to a oil seperator/CCV problem? I have no idea of what engine this car has or if its turbo'd? Suggestions?????

Wait for a cl response, go see it. I just had a massive oil leak with our S70. Had to replace the cam seals, two were blown out of the motor and yes I do believe the PCV system that was plugged when I got it was one of the main causes. I replaced the PCV system last summer, then switched to synthetic oil, then it had after market seals in it.

Noone can give advice on a car that they have not seen and you will never find out the history of it. Just have to check it out and calculate your risk.
