Wrong size spare tire came with 2005 S60
 

This may be one for the books. We purchased a 2005 S60 from a dealer in Belleview WA in the fall of 2006. The car had been leased and only had 20,000 miles. Love the car, never a problem. Last month a tire went flat (cut in sidewall). I tried to put on the spare and it did not line up. Apparently the car has a 5x108 bolt pattern and the brand new spare is a 5X114 (approximate). When we took out the spare, it appeared that nothing had been moved or used, and when we picked up the car, I measured the tread depth and it looked like original tires with about 20K miles of ware. I called Volvo USA and they said there was no way that a car would leave the factory with the wrong spare and I would tend to agree with them, sounds logical. I called the dealership (barrier) and talked to the service manager, nice guy but since the car is out of warranty, there was no recourse. He said he would try to find out what happened and never called back or returned my calls.
So, I have a never used spare tire with a 5x114 bolt pattern. I need a 5x108. Does anyone want to buy my spare tire? Does anyone have a spare tire to sell?

Go to a salvage yard and try to swap it out. People take stuff from leased and rented cars all the time.
