I'm thinking about getting the IPD turbo back exhaust system ($1000) or getting the EST 3" downpipe to 2.5" cat back($1,079) for my 2001 c70... does anyone know of other systems that are maybe cheaper?

 

Could just do custom for like 300 from catback, there are videos of the 3" dp and i am not impressed in the least. With custom you can choose what pipes and muffler you want for about the 1/3 of the price.

 

Unless you really want a new DP, but be ready for some CEL from in front of cat changes.

I would suggest getting a cat back exhaust first, then moving from there. DP is a huge commitment, looking at 2000+ sometimes. And for maybe a 7-12hp gain most at peak operating conditions. Catback will give you like 1-3hp, but it's for sound really.

 

ok . do you think I should buy the catback off EST or somewhere, or get a custom one. And im planning on chipping my car, and I know a lot of people say to get a full exhaust if you get it chipped.

 

I would do custom cat-back and then go with a 3inch Full-bent, not crushed, and a muffler of choice.
