hey i have a pretty crappy problem with my exhaust that could end up costing more than i want it to. i noticed a few days ago that my exhaust sounded way louder than normal so i jacked it up and creeped under and saw that my flex pipe was completely separated from my catback side of the exhaust system. it looked like it was rusted through but everything was black. i just wanted to know what i need to buy to fix this for the cheapest price. do i need a new downpipe or a new cat back system??? thanx in advance!!

PS: i have a 2000 Volvo V40 1.9L Turbo

 

I'd prob go to the shop to get an estimate....my neighbor once had an issue with their van and the muffler ended up falling off (he had to go fetch it and duct tape it back on).
