I removed my air box and installed a $30 K&n Clone filter from Auto zone. I just clamped it the opening of the air meter. Then strapped it to the car. I have a convertible and the intake makes A LOT ON NOISE.
All my cars...Boxster, GMC Typhoon, 08 Chevy 1 ton duelly and Volvo have cold air intakes. Only the Typhoon shows any real incease in power, the Volvo...not so much. I suggest trying the $30 filter before you spend the big bucks for K&N. I do not use a heat sheild but the other cars have one. |

I have the EST cone and heatshield, not so much increase in power, but man does it suck! Plus that whoosh when you let off the gas under WOT is great. |
+1 to the $30 filters at autozone/pepboys.
