looking to get some more power out of my 1989 740 turbo
i have a turbo plus kit installed and a cold air intake

wondering what other kinds of mods i can install, ive been told to get a performance cam and cam gear but i cannot locate one.

exhaust upgrades any recommendations?

 

ipd has the cam. It is good enough for your motor and power level. they also have gears.


Exhaust is custom local, or talk with thelostartof on turbobricks. he sells custom 3" turbo back exhaust for a decent price...


There are also the OBX cat back system (amazon, ebay). not a bad deal. It's only cat back and 2.5 inch.


I prefer the 3" turbo back as it really helps the turbo.


You don't want to do too much to that car. 89 is still a skinny rod year I believe. so no more than 1 bar of boost. the turbo plus should be plenty.
