Hello! I’m not sure if my 1995 940 is compatible partswise with your car? I specifically need a seat motor for the driver’s seat most desperately and a few other items. Thanks!
lesismore,
I'm not sure if the power seat motors are the same for these different models/years of Volvo's. I would think they should be but yours being
a 1995, 940 and mine being a 1997, 960 good chance they are not. Most 1995 960 parts interchange with the 1997's but I have no
experience with the 940 cars. The 960 cars have some kind of funky cable drive system that often causes the seat not to move. The seat
would need to be removed to get the motor our whereas the cable and switches could be fixed without that additional hassle. If you want
to buy the seat motor site unseen I'll remove the seat to take it out. Smart play would be to see if they interchange. What other items do
you need? The interior of this car is beige.
Thank You

Thanks so much for your reply. I will do some research. My Volvo mechanic is currently out of the country, so I need to get more information. I think our seat has the same type of cable drive. He says that he thinks they are the same from 94-97 but I’m not positive about your model vs. the 940. Of you are able to provide any photos of the motor console or parts, that would be helpful.
lesismore,
I'll see if I can get a pic under the seat. I'm not keen on removing the seat to take a picture unless you are sure you want to buy it. I probably will
need to move and steer the car so having the seat in place is a good idea. Are you asking about the console between the seats or the switch set
up on the side of the seat? The box between the seats with arm rest is okay except the cup holder is broken like on most Volvo's of that era. I
have not found any info yet as to interchanging the power seat motors. I got 3 part numbers that do not work in either car, but none that do.

Totally get that you don’t want to remove the seat since you need to move the car. I’m curious if the side console looks the same (right next to the door). On ours it’s black and has 3 memory settings. Anything you can photograph under the seat without moving it would be awesome too and we can compare it to our equipment. Thank you!!
