Dear fellow Volvo peers,

As you may know, the older model Volvo sound systems cannot sync with your iPhone or Android. A company called “Grom”, had an excellent reputation. So I purchased the product - GROM ST4  (manual: https://gromaudio.com/docs/mst4_manuals/mst4-mbo.pdf) Later, I found out you could attach a bundle that would make it take Bluetooth. Bought that too. Now, it’s no longer useful. (see below)I From the attachments you can see they were not cheap! However, they did work perfectly and still do. Mine looks “used” but I think it was only two years old. Selling it for $200. Includes shipping.

A LITTLE HISTORY...

(Last year, a texting teen rear ended us while we sat at a red-light. She was doing 40 mph! Though, of course, we thought a bomb went off, nothing, absolutely nothing wrong with us. The girl had a bloody nose and a caved in engine.

As some, if not all, will believe, there was not so much as a dent in our 2004 XC 90! However, after six weeks I finally came to the conclusion that my fuel door, which lined up perfectly, would not shut. I groaned at the thought of a bent frame. The lazy appraiser, who would not put it up in the garage noted it was “ok”. Took it to my mechanic and in literally ten seconds he called me over. Showed me, not kidding, a 1/2” kink in the frame. Insurance: total loss. As if that was not enough. I had just put $1200 (tires and normal stuff) in the car. To replace the Volvo, year for year, mileage for mileage: $18,000. They gave me $2900. That texting teen had no idea. We loved that car.)
