1999 Volvo V70 Wagon, 1 Owner, Meticulous History
For Sale1999 Volvo V70
Description:
I'm new to the forum, but not Volvos and decided to help a family friend sell their one owner 1999 Volvo V70 wagon. Since it is exceptionally nice, I would like it to go to an enthusiast. The car has every record from new including the original bill of sale and window sticker. Every oil change was documented in a ledger by the owner. Mechanically, it's amazing, tight, no clunks, rattles, shifts perfect. It does have the check engine light on for an O2 sensor. All electronics work, ice cold air, good Michelins all around. Cosmetically, you would be amazed as the seats show almost no wear, he indicated it has been garaged since new, and he lexoiled the seats every three months. All original paint work as well. Please reach out with any questions!
Great looking wagon and very nice of you to post for your friend.
I have a 2000 V70 SE that was recently diagnosed with a head gasket issue, and I am looking for a replacement. I love the 850s and the first generation of V70s and have had a few over the years. My son, who is about to turn 17, is fixing up an old 850, too. Anyway, I am interested and would like to come see it and likely make a deal. I could come down at your convenience, as early as tonight.
Couple quick questions:
Are you sure the CEL is just for the O2 sensor?
Can you speak to the transmission's health? (service on trans? Current state of operation?)
Any other issues or diagnoses? Head gasket issues?
Feel free to call my cell, if that's easier (probably is). (717) 576-2227
Thanks! Looking forward to hearing from you.
Scott
