Description:
2003 Volvo V70 T5 Wagon - $1,850.00
This car has always been well-maintained. We've kept every service record since 2007 (and have the records from the previous owner 2003-7). Oil and filter changes as well as general services have been regular and consistent, attributing to the nearly 240k miles on this car. Recent services of note include:
2024 - New battery
2023 - Alignment performed, Oil and filter changed, Steering/suspension checked, Four wheel alignment performed - Lower ball joint(s) replaced, Fluids checked, A/C hose/line replaced, Tail light bulb(s) replaced, Oxygen sensor replaced
2022 - Outside air temp sensor replaced, Oxygen sensor replaced, exhaust pipe seal replaced
2021 - Camshaft seal(s) replaced, Engine mount(s) replaced, Camshaft adjuster solenoid replaced, Timing belt replaced, Power steering hose(s)/line(s) replaced, Power steering reservoir replaced, Sway bar link(s) replaced, Four wheel alignment performed, Alignment performed, Oil pan drain plug replaced, Tie rod end(s) replaced, Front brake hose(s) replaced, Transmission fluid flushed.
The good - this is a clean, dry, rust free V70 T5 performance wagon with no major damage, never any chassis compromise, and known history since new.
The bad - the Digital Instrument Module (DIM) is intermittent so will need to be replaced. It drives fine, but the info on the dash goes dark sometimes. Replacing DIM can be done by a capable DIY home mechanic; $250-300 to send DIM out- - more if you take it to a shop. The glove box door is broken and will need repair to the hinge mechanism to open and close.
Exterior Condition - the paint is glossy and smooth but some areas including the grey trim are showing signs of age. A dent is present on the top of the driver's door, a puncture is present on the driver's side lower front bumper corner. Tires are newer and have plenty of tread wear remaining.
Interior Condition - the leather surfaces are worn and both front seat side bolster stitching has opened up. This can be repaired by an upholstery shop or DIY using fishing line and a leather needle. Glass, windshield, lighting, and emblems are all in very good condition. There are no major chips or cracks in the windshield.
Other items of note - Power steering, power brakes all function properly. AC works and blows cold. Heater works properly. Sunroof and all electric windows function properly. The car starts, stops, and drives even in cold weather. Key Fob works properly.
This has been a durable, reliable, and enjoyable car. CarFax available. Note: Regular oil changes done at smaller shop that doesn't show up on CarFax, but we have all records in a notebook. Car is located in Ann Arbor, MI.
