    You did "help beyond that", already. More than you could possibly know. They got the hood open, fixed the cable, that was pulled out of alignment, and it only cost me $152. I'm definitely going to lube it up and make myself an emergency release line with some high strength fishing line and a ring. I'll run it down underneath and have it ready, just in case.

    You ROCK dude. You're a wealth of info on these cars. Don't let anyone tell you different. Thanks again!!

    Boxpin,

    I have the dreaded "hood stuck shut" issue. I tried everything I found on the web, including having someone pull the lever inside the car while I sat on the hood, pressed down, and pulled up. I looked at trying the method that you mentioned in a thread on here, pulled out the driver's side turn signal, cut out the plastic part behind where the turn signal was, and tried to see through that hole to get to the tab with the hole, but with only my iPhone flash light, couldn't see it to put a hanger through and pull that release tab with the whole in it, to open the hood. The Import Shop that I go to for repairs should be able to do this, and fix it so the hood opens again, shouldn't they? They're extremely familiar with Volvos and have always repaired this car. They must be familiar with this issue.

    hello mate, you mentioned in a post i made that you ran 18psi on the standard cbv just wondering if you used the standard spring or had to upgrade it

    Hey- quick question. I have a leaky 15g unit in an 850R and a known good 16t unit on hand. The 16t (99) has an angle flange and a cracked cold side so would it be possible to put the pack of the 16t into a 15g housing (sold and hot) with no issues?

    Hi I've got the battery drain issue and I went through all the fuses and didn't find anything. Do you have any ideas? Much appreciated. (1996 volvo 850 glt)

    HI Boxbin,

    I'm newer to the forum. Saw you post a year ago about how you did your seats. They look great! Good work? I'm currious how they held up over time. Thinking of doing my seats with Magic Mender. I drive the cara lot and am affraid of doing it if it wear of and looks worse in the end. Thanks for the input!

    Hi boxpin,
    You have answered my post about boost leaks test on my 855 T5 while ago and very thankful for that. But until now I'm still not clear how should I actually do it. I made a pcv cap as a tester and put it on the turbo inlet pipe and used 2 gallon air compressor to pressurize the air. I found alot leaks from dipstick and CBV at around 5PSI and I'm sure it must be more leak somewhere because I can smell the exhaust fumes coming to the cabin under 12PSI. So my question is how can I actually do it? With the air compressor I have I couldn't build more than 5 PSI, no matter how much air being pressurized the boost gauge wont go pass 5 PSI. Did I do something wrong? just really wanna complete stage 0
    PS: have done all other stage 0, car running at 12PSI from MBC with no boost fade.
