What is this on my lower coolant hose? I have a 2000 S40, with 176K miles on it. The lower coolant hose on the car (drivers side, coming from the bottom of the radiator and running around the drivers side of the engine to the block to deliver coolant to the engine) has a red button on it that is facing upwards. The button has a slot in it as if it is meant to be adjusted with a regular screwdriver. But I cannot specifically identify the button in my VADIS manual. The manual shows the lower rad hose (which is a rigid heavy plastic hose, not rubber), and it shows the button as well attached to it, but the button itself is not identified. What is it? The button on my car has a little rad fluid that seems to be leaking out of it (v. small amount). Is the button basically just a "gate" to either let rad fluid pass or restrict the fluid? Thanks in advance for the help.
