1993 Volvo 240 Sedan from KC
Hello fellow Volvo enthusiasts,
I'm the "owner" (daughter's Volvo) of a 1993 240 Sedan for a bit over 5 years and it has been a mostly great little car. It handles a bit too well on some occasions albeit severely underpowered since it is an NA model. I know I've perused many a thread looking for insights into the various nuances of owning and keeping one of these Volvo's running well. Recently I just finished rebuilding an AW71 for it since the AW70 had given up OD/4th gear. Would have loved to find an "L" version to rebuild, but examples of those were not to be found. Rest assured I tried all of the suggestions I could find to restore the gear, it was just an old transmission.
I hope I can join in many conversations going forward. Admittedly, I decided to join so I could get some assistance to start with on a "searching" idle issue that recently started.
