2010 xc70 tailgate doesn't stay closed
 

Hello! Pleasure to have joined this site. I have a 2010 XC70 with a faulty tailgate. For some weeks the auto shut and lock refuses to catch fully, and after one attempt, it opens to the raised position. Nothing I have tried, including lubing the unit, works. I am willing to give up the auto control and simply hand shut and open it manually, if there is an easy fix for that.... disconnect a fuse, etc. Any advise is most appreciated!
