Another new guy
I'm another new guy to this forum though I've been browsing for a while. I finally convinced the wife to dump her Windstar and today purchased an '04 XC70 with 50K miles on it.
I've been a longtime domestic car owner, so making the jump to Volvo took some thought and research. I want to say that I've learned an awful lot about these cars from reading the posts here, and it made the decision to purchase a Volvo much easier. So you've been a great help already. Thanks for the good work. Regards, Steven |

Hi Steven,
Welcome to the forum, I hope you can find a decent Volvo. When you get one, make sure to go over all systems + service records and have the scheduled maintenance items taken care of asap, especially the timing belt + pulleys & tensioner. Good luck, JPN |

ORIGINAL: JPN Hi Steven, Welcome to the forum, I hope you can find a decent Volvo. When you get one, make sure to go over all systems + service records and have the scheduled maintenance items taken care of asap, especially the timing belt + pulleys & tensioner. Good luck, JPN I drive a '95 Explorer and a '31 Model A Tudor when the weather permits. My impressions of the car are all positive to date. The performance is more than I expected from a station wagon and it has a much more solid feel than I'm used to. To be honest though, I haven't had the chance to drive it much because the wife has been gone with it most of the weekend. |
