Hi , I just signed up after using some of the info on this form. My bride has a 1989 740GL with 307,000 miles on it. I have been a wrench turner for the last 50+ years and have worked on many US and Foreign cars. My background is mechanical engineering but I have finally retired a few years ago. I'll try to contribute as much as I can and considering I have been the only maintainer of my cars I hope I can provide some helpful info. Have a great New Year.
