New here!!!

In the joplin mo area. Just bought a 98 v70r awd, 2.3l turbo, saffron, 17inch r wheels. I have some work ahead of me but think i will really like the wagon. My first volvo also. Anything to look out for or preventable maintenance? Replacing front wheel hubs, front cv axles, and doing drilled rotors and ceramic pads all the way around. Also installed new radio and speakers, working on the heater core now. Owner i bought it from just ran the heater hoses from the motor back to one another with piece of hose and clamps. The heater core was cracked so i replaced, hooked the hoses to the fire wall started up the car and they puked everywhere. So going to try and replace clips and o rings, hopefully that works. Car was in pretty rough shape when i purchased it but its coming right along day by day. WHAT KIND OF BOOST DO THESE CARS MAKE FACTORY OR WITH MINOR MODS INTAKE FILTER MSD EXHAUST ECT...

welcome to the forum. check out the 850 and V70 model specific boards - including the sticky posts for a lot of good info, as well as some of the YouTube vids from @robertDIY

In terms of preventable maintenance, most important is to know when the timing belt was last done. In terms of power mods, the factory air intake is very good. You can look to go to a bigger downpipe - cat backs have less impact, but the big bump will be from an ECU tune. Stock boost is somewhere around 10 PSI. Your car already has the 16T turbo which with a tune to 15 PSI or so, plus green injectors and a downpipe should put you in the 300 HP range. Anything much more and you'd want to be on a manual transmission...

How hard/expensive would a 5 speed swap be in it being awd?
