Hello to all!
I'm the owner of a 1997 Volvo 850R Turbo. Purchased the car for my daughter to drive about a year ago and I ended up keeping it for myself.
Quickly had some bad experiences with the local Volvo dealership regarding repair issues and figured it was time for a mid-life crisis hobby. Been doing my own repairs with no experience under my belt – so far I've managed okay.
Currently trying to track down the drive cycle needed to get my monitors to read ready. My inspection is due this month and I reset the codes following a P0440 reading to see if it was something simple like the gas cap. Now I realize after driving it for a week that I still haven't completed what's needed for the monitors to read ready.
Anyway I digress, just wanted to say hello!

Welcome. Pop on over to the 850 forum. You can probably get some help there.

Welcome to the forum, make sure to post technical questions in the vehicle-specific forums. And make sure to follow scheduled maintenance, especially the timing belt + pulleys & hydraulic tensioner at every 70,000 miles or 5 years.
