New owner of 1993 Volvo 240 wagon with questions.
Greetings!
I've never joined a forum before and recently my 1994 Accord wagon went up in flames and so my search for a 240 began. With much appreciation I am the owner of a 1993 Blue 240 wagon that was gifted to me by a fan of my band. It lived most of its life in more moderate climate and is pretty much free of rust but came with its handful of soon to be resolved issues. First things first.
1. The Instrument Cluster or gauges (temp, gas, speedo) are not functioning at all
2. It has an R134a system that the PO said he never even tried to charge.
I suppose my first questions are is there a typical issue that could cause a whole cluster failure?
Is it wise to try charging a system with a kit from Autozone that hasn't been operated in over 7 years?
Nice to meet you all!
