Long Island/NYC Volvo owners
 

Hey im looking for ppl who would be interested in getting together over the summer for some volvo meets...

I have not had much luck finding any group on Long island so i figured it was time to see if we get a group of ppl together for a meet....

For those of u who live on Long Island even possible the city might know about DPA (Deer Park Ave) Alot of car clubs and alot cars meet on the strip thru the summer , Usually friday/Saturday nights... Which is one option, i was even thinking of possible talking to some other car clubs and getting in on their meets ups ...

If you guy are interested i wanna know....

Also there are the weekly Bald Hill meets on long island where many cars/groups show up together.... This u do have to pay and is in a fenced in area with security ect. Fee is only a couple dollars..... More detail just ask....

haha thanks i hope ppl r out there.... I have run with a few other clubs but when it come to volvos nothing so far so i hope we can possible get some ppl out

Volvos seem to have a bigger following in the Pacific North west, Cali, and up in the Northeastern sea board, above NY and South Fla. ... Besides that, there's a few stragglers here and there.

I guess i own the wrong car for the area hahaha

Here is a thought lets all move to Orlando..... Trade in my winter/summer tires for good.

Well it is currently 83 degrees here in Orlando and no Clouds in the sky as opposed to most of the US under cold air and snow! you can def. take advantage of the weather to take your Volvos to the beach if u moved here.... Or you could all bring your own timing belt to TECHS wing party villagepc offered the other day,lol...

Just give it time man........ someone will pop up from your area!

Who do you uually have work on your volvo on Long Island?

NYC V70 2.3L T5 (manual) owner here, i just got the car (gift) and dont know what to do with it, all i know is, it has me mesmerized and i got a 2008 Nissan Altima 3.5 with all the goodies yet im obsessed with the Volvo, its my first one, it has few dents that i plan on getting fixed, the car repainted and the engine possibly re-built (nothing wrong with the engine) i just wanna fix it up real good, throw some good rims on it, good brakes/suspension and possibly redo the interior and paint the car.

Those are my plans :) now i gotta make them come true, im researching all of internet but i cant get ahold of V70R bumpers and interior if possible as well as V70R rims :(

I cant locate parts for making my car fly down the LIE when i come to Jones Beach or Sunkin Meadow park, maybe you can help?

Hey, Im on the swedespeed forums more than here I just joined this one I have a 2000 Volvo S80 I go to Stony Brook. I would def be more than interested in getting together for a weekly Volvo meet. Right now I go with one of my friends monday nights to an Audi/VW meet, he has a B5 S4 pretty sweet stuff but Im def in for a Volvo meet. I know exactly where DPA is and I know a bunch of people get together near the Pathmark on the southern side of DPA. Hi Dizzy, its a 2001 V70 T5 5 speed and i love it more than my brand new (it was few months ago) Nissan Altima 3.5 SE

I just cant locate parts for it like V70R bumpers, side skirts and rims and brakes. Also i would love V70R cluster and few other parts (seats mainly) but im not going to the Volvo D(st)ealer to buy those as they are crazy expensive there. So im browsing internet and e-bay, craigslist with a possibility of coming across those.

The meet would be nice once in a while, to share the tips and admire each other's Volvos
