Odometer Help Needed
 

my VOLO is a 1992 DL240 sedan w/ "B230 engine (4 cyl auto). The main odometer has stopped working except for the times it does work. I replaced the 26T white wheel carefully installing it inside the black gear and meshing it onto the stepper motor gear drive. There is no orientation as far as I can see.

Here are my questions:

(a) is there any alignment w/ any gears when installing the new white gear??
(b) when the odometer operates it gets "stuck" between digits "6 and 7". Do I have a bad black gear??
(c) when it totally operates for a day, the main odometer "rolls" over when the secondary odometer changes between "4 and 5"
(d) could be electrical so I will ck all solder connections

Note my main odometer is the total vehicle mileage while the secondary odometer is the "reset to zero" odometer commonly used for miles to the destination (trips).

you might consider sending it to a speedo repair shoop. I use United Speedometer in Riverside, CA with good success
