Default Calculate miliamps. Parasitic draw test.

I did a parasitic draw test. My multi meter was set to 20mA setting. The display came up with .05.
My question is how many mA;s is it when your set to 20m and the diplay reads ,o5
If anyone could explain how they calculated this I wood be very gratful to them.

Thanx guys Rick

I don't know. If I had a question like this, I would change scales. The reason I am confused is that 05 mA is an incredibly small current. It would not make sense as a power draw from an entire car

Good question.

My feeling was that it was to low also. I tried testing on the other settings and the display displayed a 1 which I believe means not in range. I want to say my multimeter isn't working right. Ive charged two batteries in the last week to completion. When i put the multimeter on them both, it read 12.3 V I found that to be low. Also I put the meter red on positive and black on neg and got 12.3V then red on neg and black on pos battery post and got 12.9V I was expecting -12.3V Why the voltage went up i don't know. I really don't know alot about the electrical systems. I'm thinking my multimeter is not right. I'm puzzled.
