Insurance company?

What insurance company do you guys have. What would you suggest to a young driver? we have always had met life but they wanted over $4000 a year for full coverage on my 2005 s60 i just got. I switch to progressive and got $1400 for 1 year. saved $2600!!
Why is progressive so cheap. I heared that progressive or geico is the way to go for young drivers. your thought?

All of the standard insurance companies are the same. Find the cheapest with a good plan.
You could also check out custom plans through grundy etc...They have similar rate to statefarm, even when you set your cars valve.
You get what you pay for except with insurance. In the end, when you need them, they bend you over and screw you... That is if you don't know the laws protecting you.

I usually over insure to protect others. Some states require you to have $10,000 minimum coverage for the people that you hurt, some require you to have $25,000 in medical coverage. I usually carry a minimum of $250,000 per person and $500,000 per accident. If I have an accident, I don't want someone to get hurt, have $30,000 in doctor bills and my insurance not cover it. Someone can end up with a broken arm and a few minor injuries, miss a few weeks of work and end up with $30,000 in cost easy. If I have $10,000 in liability coverage those people are damaged and left holding the bag. In a lot of cases they end up forced to sue me which will waste more of their time (and money) reaching for my empty pockets. I'm glad to pay another $15 per month to insure someone doesn't have to suffer more than necessary from an accident that I may have caused.

Doesn't Progressive use that GPS box or whatever that device is that plugs in? Maybe they save you that much because they can "see" how you drive. Also define "young driver." Most insurance companies charge a high amount if you're under 25 or single. ( I guess once you're over 25 or married then you're responsible. )
