What kind of gas milage do you get with your car???
This is an open area so I would like people to put information on any car in this thread. Better yet, it would be good for all of us if you loaded the government website up with you data. I put 2 cars and a Jeep in there.
http://www.FuelEconomy.gov Please let us know what kind of gas milage you are getting with your cars, etc. Put what type of car it is. Several have posted what their milage is but not what kind of car they have??? |
My 960 gets about 23.6 mpg. I have new Michellen fuel rated tires on it and drive modestly. Average speed is 34 mph.
My 850 R gets 22 mpg with the A/C and 24.5 without. Average speed is 33 mph. The '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I6 was getting 19.9 mpg. The best was 23 mpg on the highway and got as low as 16.7 around town. Haven't really checked the S70 GLT yet but I think it was getting about 30.4 mpg on the highway. |
My pickup:
MPG (city) 12 MPG (highway) 16 MPG (combined) 14 I'm getting about 15-16 combined. |
96 n/a 850 25.6 MPG
04 XC90 2.5t 22.8 MPG I live in Arizona so A/C is on all the time |
Gasssss mileage
My S70 gives me 27 on my daily commute and 35 on a trip.:)
My Saab 9-3 gives me 27 on my daily commute.:) My Chev Sierra = 13.:( |

My 2009 S40 T5 AWD gets about 24 MPG in mostly highway driving running 93 octane. The few times I've run with 87 I get about 1MPG less. Around town I'm lucky to get about 20-21.
Also have a 2001 Toyota Highlander V6 that gets just around 20 MPG in mostly highway driving. |
The last time I took mine on a long trip, I averaged about 28 to the gallon on the highway, usually at about 70-75MPH.

hi, new guy here. just got my first volvo a couple of weeks ago (for my 16 year-old son. he has to learn to drive in something, right?) it's a 93 854, stock everything, 225,000 on the clock. anyway, i just put a tank of regular through it and got 26.7mpg, mixed highway/suburbs, almost all a/c on. now it has a tank of premium in it, so we shall see...
my other cars: family car '05 grand caravan: 16-19 around town, 28 on a road trip. boat hauler '88 grand wagoneer: 11-12, no matter what. my commuter wind-up toy '00 honda insight: about 76 on a year-'round average basis. best tank: 82. best commute: 92. |
I'll post some graphics, since fuel economy is something of a hobby of mine:

Lately I have been driving like an old lady. Using hypermilling techniques and I'm getting 25.6 MPG in the T-5R. I try not to go over 70 MPH, usually 65, and the average speed is 34 mph.

I actually probably should, it's only 1,7 miles each way to work for me, hence why my gas mileage is so low...most times I'm on my Harley though.
I did log 30,98mpg on an almost all highway trip last week though. And that was with the a/c running and using cruise. I'll bet 33-34mpg is attainable without both. |
Please post what kind of car you have and if it's been moded, disclose that as well.

1990 740 turbo wagon, Freds chips, 14psi on stock turbo, 2.5" exhaust. Gets 10.5l/100km (22.5mpg) whether it be around town or on the highway. Pretty exceptional for something that will kill anything else short of a V8.
Our big Mitsubishi Magna (Diamante) sedan, with the 3.5 litre V6, gets 11.5l/100km (20mpg) around town and dips into the 7's (30mpg) on the highway. Regards, Andrew. |
