280 Tilt Motor wanted
 

I have an AQ130D with a 280 out drive. These only have an electric/mechanical lift motor for tilt only. Sadly they are weak if loaded up to much. A few weeks ago I came across a sand bar leaving a marina would you believe where a sand bar had formed across the mouth of the breakwater at only 0.5 deep.

I was only just idling across it as I could see it was shallow but the leg and prop caught the sand and buried it self in. I got a tow out by another boat but had to raise the leg out of the sand first. It came up fine and went back down again and locked in but it was the last time it worked. The next time I went to raise it I had nothing.

There is a double threaded worm drive inside with a cast, spring loaded nut the runs on the worm and the pressure had collapsed that nut and broken all the thread out of it.

Although I'm having a new nut custom machined up out of brass, I would like to also have a spare original cast one for backup.

So, I'm either looking for just the nut or even a complete lift motor with or without the relay switch if anyone just happens to have a lazy one laying around the shed or backyard looking for a new home.
