Wanted: 3 inch free flow exhaust for 740T
Hello,
Before I go to a retailer and seek out a custom fab exhaust, I wanted to come to the board first and see if anyone here has one for sale or can fabricate one. I'd rather support you all instead of "the big guys". I am looking to buy a 3 inch free flow exhaust for my 1989 740 Turbo intercooler. If you know where I might find one, please direct me! Thanks.

A muffler shop should be able to do it for you.
3" sounds big to me. I would think that 2.5" would be fine. 3" will give you more noise. You could delete the muffler...the cat and the turbo would pretty much muffle it. You could also replace the muffler w/a flow-through resonator, or even a glassplac muffler.

2" would be big enough...unless you are looking at performance about 3-4K rpm, or thereabouts.
If anybody tells you that you need back-pressure, they have no idea of what they are talking about.
