Wanted - US-spec ('quad') headlight units of mid-80s 740
Hi,
Werner here, from Belgium. I'm new here, and about to get a "new" daily runabout, a 1986 Volvo 740 sedan. Being european spec, it has the large one-piece headlights.
But I prefer the look of the US-spec mid-eighties 740. They had 4 separate rectangular headlights set in 'chrome' trim.
(see top of picture)
Does anyone here have a nice clean headlight set for sale, like the one on the top in this pic, USA spec? And a PayPal account... I'll also need to know how much the postage cost to Belgium would be.
What I need = the complete headlight assemblies. Meaning: entire light unit housing, mounting brackets, bright "chrome" trim bezels, parking lamps and turn signal lamps (=lights at left+right corner and the horizontal light below the headlights). So everthing needed to swap European to USA headlamp assemblies.
Please make sure the 'chrome' trim looks clean and the parking lamps and turn signal lamps are not cracked.
If the sealed beam bulbs don't make a lot of price difference, leave them in, maybe they fit my Dodge
But if they make a big difference in price or shipping cost; I don't really need those.
(My 740 now looks exactly like the car at the bottom, but I would like headlights like the USA-spec 740; at the top in this photo)
Thanks,
Wekke

PS: If anyone is near a junkyard, happens to go there and find the headlights I need (see first post): I'll add an extra $10 to the price & shipping for your effort of buying them for me & sending them to me.
DO let me know his price and the mailing cost first, before I decide to go ahead with anything. Some of these used car parts guys are outrageously expensive: I had one quote me a price for headlights that was more then I paid for the entire car, haha!)
