By accident I acquired a friends 89 740gl. It's not currently running and I'm tired of dumping money into it.

I put fresh spark plugs, plug wires, in tank fuel pump, frame rail fuel pump, fuel pump relay/fuse, fuel filter & fresh oil change.

When I got the car it would start and run rough until it completely warmed up then it ran ok. I chased the rough idle issue for a while, eventually giving up after dumping 1K into the car. After months of sitting it will now not start.

I just bought a $150 new battery last week to try and crank it to get it out of my way and now it won't start, just turns over but no firing. Done with throwing parts at it.

It's higher mileage vehicle and the body shows signs of it. Clear coat is peeling, sun roof is siliconed shut, drivers side rear door does not open & the heat shield for the muffler would rattle on the muffler when it was running.

This is the red block motor.

Will take $600 firm.
