1961 Volvo PV 544 Sport - $3000
1961 Volvo PV 544 Sport for sale
$3000 or best REASONABLE offer.
Last licensed in 1992.
Has been stored inside from '92 until January 2011.
Showing 12,670 miles on the odometer. It's probably 112,670.
Appears to be a pretty original car with no monkey business.
This has the twin SU carb'd B16B engine and a 4 speed.
I can get it to start but can't keep it running.
(leaking carbs and bad fuel problems but no knocks or ticks)
It does have an extra pair of carbs and a fuel pump in the trunk.
I see a 1/2 dozen very small rust bubbles on the bottom of both doors.
Very small amount of rust in the trunk pan at the tail panel.
That's about it for rust, floorpans have surface rust but are rock solid.
Solid trunk with the original mat and cardboard side panels.
Has a dent in the LR fender but it's not real bad.
An even smaller dent in LF.
All the glass is good and the windows crank up and down.
Older repaint maroon exterior (originally was cream color or off-white)
Original blue/white interior, driver's seat has a split/glued seam.
Has a so-so black dashpad with some cracks/chips around the edge.
Car looks 99.9% complete including the owner's manual.
Couple pieces of chrome not on the car but are in the trunk with extras.
Original jack and spare rim with a useable tire.
Good front tires and fairly worn rear tires but all hold air well.
Has 5 original hubcaps and 5 stainless beauty rings.
Dash looks all original and has the factory AM radio (not working)
There's a cassette player in the glove box.
Might be the reason for non-working original radio.
Lights work including the dome light. Wiring looks decent.
The wipers wipe and the heater blows.
Air conditioning is all natural and provided by the vent windows.
Has the ignition key and door/trunk key
Later model Volvo seat belts and harnesses added for the front seats.
Clear Oregon title. Comes with a hardback repair manual.
THE MISSING, UGLY OR BAD PARTS:
Needs trunk weatherstripping. Had duct tape on it when I got it.
Headliner has a couple small tears.
Paint is oxidized. Rear bumper is loose.
Horn ring is broken off the steering wheel but it's in the trunk.
Glove box cardboard is goofed up because of cassette install.

Located 6 miles SE of Oregon City in Beavercreek. (about 25-30 miles SE of Portland)
