$400 is on the pricey side for me.. Might have to wait until my scooter sells.

No worries, happy to hold everything for you. I would be including the cam and stuff with that. I think that it's a good deal based on the prices of the individual parts. If anyone else wants to chime in as a mediator I'm happy to hear it.

OK, what is your price for all there is :
- radio
- equalizer
- speakers
- cabling (as far as possible)
- BOTH amps (one in the trunk and the one under the dash at the driver's knees)

Thanks !

pichurri - How does $200 + Shipping sound?

Any advice on puling the cabling? Happy to get it all, even if it involves removing headliner/carpet. Whole car is being parted anyway.

And are those tweeters in the back passanger pillars? Or just the 4 speakers stock?

$200 + Shipping and I'll include the DIN trim piece that houses the radio/EQ.

The nice complete extra DIM pocket trim piece that's in the trunk as shown in video #2, I mean.

Also, pulled the radio and EQ today. Will post pictures when I get home.

The wiring looks to be good. Jackets are intact and such. Will take a little work but I think that I'll be able to get you ALL of the audio wiring intact.

Snapped the pictures just now, went on an adventure until late yesterday.

Wiring looks suprisingly good. Had an '86 745T with the TERRIBLE eco-jacket wiring; which disintegrated. Which wiring would you like in particular?

Hey CWAZYWAZY,

Found a good link on B230F to B230FT conversion:

Okay, well it's getting more complicated the more I look into it, but I'm thinking if I can get all the pieces it'll still be doable. So here's what I think the list is so far:

Turbo
manifold and downpipe
intake and MAF
ducting
intercooler
injectors
oil lines for the turbo
the intercooler/rad mounts
ECU+ICU
cam
ballast resistor

Am I forgetting anything?

I didn't realize that this much went into it either... Let's do more research.

Looks like you'll need to pull the engine out of the car and drill the block for the oil line.

Also found What Are The Differences, B21, B23, B230? - Turbobricks Forums

Looks like the 9mm connecting rods in your engine are known to be a problem with performance applications.

I would like to sell all of this to you, but have you considered scooping a used 1989+ B230FT and just replacing the entire engine? Would be cheaper and actually hold up to the boost.

I have no idea where I'd even find an engine, I've only seen one turbo RWD Volvo and it was at a gas station.

EDIT: I could get a later model engine from a junkyard for $180. But that just makes things more expensive..

Found a few leads in CT for you. Not sure which quadrant of the state you're in as Craigslist has 4 search areas for CT. First one is a parts car 940 Turbo Wagon for $300! 2nd link is a 940 Turbo Wagon asking $500. You can talk these guys down in price. Keep searching Craigslist. I'm sure that there are more to be had.

Oh yeah, no, I looked into that. Problem is we already have 4 cars in a 2 car driveway. Parents wont let me have another one, otherwise I'd already have that $100 244.

If you're fully committed to doing this, I'll help as best I can. A VERY specific parts list is what we need. But I'll start yanking parts as soon as you're ready to do this.

Any timeframe on saving up enough dough?

Making progress...

The first picture is of what that switch ran to which was below the equalizer.

Looks to be a speaker of some sort...? Guy rigged it in whatever it is.

Hey guys, If I were to COMPLETELY strip this car of its interior, engine and transmission, leaving the chassis/suspension/steering components/braking components/wheels/glass/body/doors; would a V8/Transmission swap still work? Or is the harness/any electronics/etc. needed for the new engine and transmission?

Just pulled the passenger seat; photos attached.

The leather actually looks a little worse in person. Nikon Coolpix, cheap camera. Just a heads up.

All of the seat controls worked before I pulled it. Reconnected the battery to test and to get to the bolts.

EDIT: The lever on the side of the seat, chest level, that pivots out and has a small rocker switch on it did not do anything when pressed. Not certain what it's for until I dig the manual out.
