We bought this clean Volvo while shopping in Atlanta. Our assessment of the vehicle is that it has been serviced and kept in order by the prior owner. It appears that this vehicle was traded in due to a need for service.

We started with our underhood service that included a NEW TIMING BELT, BELT TENSIONER and IDLER BEARING. While doing timing belts, we change the SPARK PLUGS since the service interval is roughly the same. We installed a new set of Denso® brand plugs for you.

Continuing under the hood, we changed the ENGINE OIL and FILTER, installing a new OIL SEAL at the oil fill cap and also used the correct aluminum drain plug washer.

Our review of the chassis showed that the front and rear brakes were in good condition.

Moving along, we noted a bit of a rattle while driving the vehicle so we installed NEW STRUT MOUNTS taking care of that item for you. Everything is now tight and ready to go!

Using our Snap-On Solus® diagnostic scanner, we noticed some shift solenoid codes which are common on the AW-55 transmission. What happens is that the electronic shift solenoids stick and the shift quality is not as good as when new. However, the transmissions in these vehicles can go a long time with service. So, we replaced the ELECTRONIC SHIFT SOLENOIDS in the valve body and did a complete transmission fluid change using the correct Mobile 3309 fluid. We also did a complete relearn on the vehicle's transmission computer. This procedure took care of the codes, and now shifts as designed.

Volvo equips their vehicles with cabin air filters, admittedly a little difficult to change, but we installed a new one for you as part of our service program.

Finally, we installed NEW WIPER BLADES, completing the service on this clean Volvo.
