F/S 1989 740 turbo 4-speed San Diego
1989 740 turbo, manual transmission, 4 speed with overdrive, in good running condition. The car has 248XXX miles but many major service items have been addressed. Power locks, power windows, heated seats, air conditioning, cruise control and heater all work correctly. Tires have about 20K on them should go another 15k with lifetime free balance and rotation plus full road hazard warranty from discount tires. Car includes original owner’s manual, Haynes shop manual, receipts for all the work I have done (plus a lot of older repair records) and all 4 keys.
I have had a lot of work done on this car during my 4 years of ownership, here are the highlights:
• 8/2010 Drive shaft rebalanced, center support, flex plate and universal joints replaced. $499.18
• 8/2010 Engine mounts replaced. $130
• 10/2010 Cylinder head removed & rebuilt. $1199.31
• 3/2011 Replace distributor cap and rotor. $128.19
• 8/2012 Complete clutch replacement. $829.80
• 6/13 Front crank pulley replaced. $246.45
Mechanically the car has only one problem that I know of, the sunroof operates but does not park correctly in closed position. You can jockey it into a watertight spot but it won’t do it on it’s own, we just leave it shut and don’t use it.
Cosmetically the car is 24 years old, the clear coat is fading in spots, there is a small dent below the driver’s side taillight (see picture) and the interior plastic parts are showing their age.
Asking $1650
