Hm, yeah. Still interested, but with the way the price is adding up I won't be able to buy it for awhile.

I can crate it here, throw it on a pickup truck and get it to their shipping point to avoid a lift gate fee on this end. How are your receiving capabilities? Would you need it to be delivered to your place with a liftgate or could you grab it from their receiving center? Would help with total cost.

I think that even with the wood weight it's going to be around 500lbs total. Will play with 1 vs 2 crates and physically procure a couple to test out. I'm thinking that with a dilligent search we can keep it around $300 shipping. Maybe even $250.

If the crate will fit in my wagon, I could pick it up. I don't really have access to a pickup anymore.

The 740 wagons were the only car at the time that could fit a euro-crate in it's cargo hold. Read that somewhere.

Distance between Largo, FL and Granby, CT is about 1300 miles. 2600 mi round trip.

Even at 22mpg that's 118 gallons of gas round trip. Call it $2/gallon and $236 pays the trip. Mileage will be better on the way too without that weight. What kinda mpg you get with your wagon?

74Lx53Wx33H looks to be your cargo hold.

1986 Volvo 240

May just fit. Wouldn't need to be in a crate then, just a flat pallet.

Yeah, I mean I could probably pick it up from a receiving center somewhere if it means cheaper shipping.

driedle - Snapped 4 pictures today. Starting from the rear passenger moving counter-clockwise.

They could certainly use a good cleaning & paint, but the rash looks to be much less on these than what's on ebay atm.

DRIEDLE - Looks like 1986-2006 Ford Taurus Rims will fit. roadkillcustoms.com has an awesome sizing database.

Will take a trip to LKQ tomorrow and look for a cheap set. There are also a few wrecks on CL; will call tomorrow. As soon as I find a set I'll jack up the car and pull the rims for you. What's your preference with shipping?

I haven't forgotten about you guys! Here are some pictures of the progress so far. Spent some serious time today. So, figured out that T-25 & T-27 are my friends. So are stubby screwdrivers and pliers; not that I have them. Learning ALOT about this car by taking it apart.

Reactivated my Paypal account today after paying them a $20 debt fro last year; as well as updated my ebay account. My ebay name is speedtrader. Experienced Seller.

Stay tuned guys, going to post progress step-by-step!

CWAZYWAZY - Pic #1 - There's the ECU! Going to focus more on the engine tomorrow.

PICHURRI - Pic #2 - Got the interior Amplifier out finally! Sorry it's taking so long; want to do it right and preserve the wiring for you. Any advice from this point as to how to proceed with pulling the audio wiring?

DRIEDLE - Found some Taurus rims for $20 ea. Is there something else from the car that you're after which I could include for a total of $350 to offset the cost of the temp rims? I'll throw the $30 toward it. If not, no worries man, I'll eat the cost. May take a week or two though.

That will work out fine. I have a 760, so there is not much else I can use. Do you have a shipping cost yet? I may be able to send you boxes...I have a company that makes them for me. Any cost to ship yet?

Dave - I will not hold this up any longer. The $80 capital is the sticking point for me now. Will procure expediently. Tough to ballpark shipping yet. Will update.

CWAZYWAZY - Sure thing. Will take pictures tomorrow & am willing to send a sample to blackstone-labs.com for $28 if you're willing to pay for it. If you end up only wanting the turbo components, rather than the entire engine, I'll do everything for $400 flat + Shipping; to include the ECI/ICU, Cam, EVERYTHING for it. You name the engine part, it's included. Even the head or manifold or whatever. Cherry pick basically. Just want to see this work for you.

Contemplating dropping a turbo into my '96 850 base sedan like this guy; who was $500 all in initially with a running conversion:

Nah, I'm still interested in the whole engine+turbo bits. Let me get back to you on that Blackstone thing.
